Caustic Ocean
The Caustic Ocean is an enormous subplane that functions as the stomach of The Devourer. The ocean consists of a powerful acid used to dissolve everything down to be absorbed by the creature. The edges of the plane are thick muscle with occasional tubes that function as entryways into the realm. These tubes, commonly referred to as "throats" can open and receive the end point of slipholes, diverting them here. Many of the slipholes that appear open constantly, such as the "maws", actually have a connection to specific throats that will make a connection any time something goes through them, but closing quickly to prevent escape. These sliphole also work as more direct portals, rather than gateways to the darkspace.
