General Physical Condition

He's just your average Joe when it comes to athletics. He can run without really breaking a sweat, and can lift some heavy things, but he's not the model athlete, and isn't totally active, either.

Facial Features

Almond shaped eyes, bright green in colour, a thin nose, a square jaw, with full lips. His smile is dazzling, as his eyes widen at the same time, and blind you. When he's turning on the full charm, it's crooked. Because who can resist a crooked smile? And he bites his lip too, the bastard.

Physical quirks

He walks around like a cool cat. Slouchy shoulders, like nothing is a big deal, because it isn't. To be honest, he's doesn't care much about the rebellion. Sure, it all sucks, but life's pretty good anyway. But he's rich, so... He has one small tic. He snaps his fingers a lot. Not at people. Just randomly. Feels like banging out a tune, starts snapping. Or he's waiting for something or someone, starts snapping. NBD. People kinda find that annoying. Specifically one person. But we'll get to her.

Apparel & Accessories

Only the best quality apparel for the most beautiful boy in the kingdom. Ok, he's not a boy. He's a man. But he's also very rich. Inherited money, you know? Also, makes his own money. His job isn't very prestigious, but he doesn't care. Anyway, he wears shirwal, and a qamis that blows in the breeze. It's tucked into his pants, and left free and open up top. It's also usually sleeveless, or with short sleeves. He wears a few leather necklaces, one has a gold ring hanging on it (a memory from before, a lesson), and one has a single key hanging on it. Doesn't open anything, but he likes to be cheesy, and say things like "it'll open your heart" or "come with me, I'll show you what it unlocks" - in reference to the rebel world, of course. He also has a lot of rings - silver, and gold, on different fingers, and his thumb. He looks a bit like a vagabond. But a rich one. An anomaly, then. He doesn't look tacky.

Personal history

Jad has always been a gorgeous boy. He can't help it. It's how he was made. And, yes, he's proud of it. Not that he had any say in it. But still, he enjoys his good looks, and the attention it gets him. He's got swagger. And it's this swagger that got the attention of Zein, the Leader - or one of his rebels. They were taken by Jad's attractiveness and thought "he could bring so many people in!" So that's how Jad became a rebel. And then he began reeling others in - girls, boys, women, children, men. Everyone. He'd charm them, flatter them, get close to them, befriend them, or more, tell them stories, made up obviously (wink wink) and then tell them he really wants to show them something. And that's where the rebels would come in. And they'd all be in far too deep to walk away. And once the rebellion was revealed, they'd be all in, and would forget about him. He is a professional ghoster, makes people feel like they're the ones ghosting him.

Education

Smart boy, rich boy, goes to the top schools, charms his way to graduation. He'd always been interested in history, and so that's what he studied, and that's how he got his job at the gallery. Though, once he knew the truth, that gallery was just painted with lies.

Employment

He got a job at the gallery straight out of university. He's a tour guide there, tells people about the paintings, and sculptures, and all the artefacts. He's the most beloved tour guide. He's been offered promotions but he's never taken them. He doesn't need the money, and he enjoys talking to strangers. Everyone is enamored with him, and he basks in it.

Accomplishments & Achievements

He's brought a lot of people into the rebellion - people will follow him into fire, really. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration. But he has managed to get a lot of people to follow him. He's a good convincer. That's not a word. But it should be his official title. The Convincer.

Failures & Embarrassments

But then, he messed it all up. Twice. First, when his fiancee publicly broke up with him. His swagger fell off his shoulders - especially since people started spreading the rumour that he'd been two-timing her. He is adamant he wasn't, and it was all a big misunderstanding. But once a rumour is out there, not much can be done to stop its spread and effect. So, after that, people started avoiding him. His reputation became a bit tarnished, and he wasn't drawing nearly as many possible-rebels as before. So he was demoted by Zein, the Leader - but it wasn't put that way. Zein just said that Jad had given them so much, and helped the cause so well, maybe he'd like a break, an easier task, with less effort needed. It was said that way, but Jad knew he didn't have a choice. And so he was relegated to coffeehouse storyteller. His job = weave stories that sounded too fantastical, but were actually truth, and see if anyone bites. It didn't come up with as many as he was used to. Or many at all.
Second, he had a chance to see the amira - Zaria, the Heiress herself! - and possibly get her to follow him. But he ran off before he even knew she was there. You may say that's not his fault, but nobody agrees. None of the rebels, I mean. They all kinda mock him about it. His suaveness and looks can't save him from the mocking - mocking is the foundation of this culture, really. Also, because he kinda had two chances - the first he actually spoke directly to her, and didn't realise because she was wearing a hood, and a veil. The second, they were in the same place - but he ran off because a fight broke out, and he got scared. That's what Maram, the Rebel says - he would implore you not to listen to anything she has to say about him, on account of her grudge. So he's been taken down quite a few pegs by the time we meet him. He's still dashingly good-looking, but there's something missing.

Mental Trauma

Scared of cockroaches. They're just so ugly. Give him the heebie-jeebies. His mental trauma has been the relentless mocking of his one failure. Aww poor baby. Also, his broken heart because of Rafa, his ex-fiancee, and how she believed the rumours instead of him. That's gotta hurt. Also losing her was hard, because it was difficult finding someone as gorgeous as he is. Yeah, his ego is enormous. Like really.

Intellectual Characteristics

Takes up space. He is never too small for a room. He uses space to his advantage, also lack of space - leaning in close, etc. You know? He's a great weaver of stories. Can make anything sound interesting. He's also a good singer - has a melodious voice. He's one of those people that look like they have everything going for them. And he does have that. He's smart, too. But he's also a bit dumb. Like he says some dumb things. He's a bit slow. Yeah, slow on the uptake. He asks dumb questions sometimes. It's kinda like, "Seriously J." But when he's telling his own stories, he's good - got everything under control.

Likes sweets, thinks they suit him because he’s sweet. On the eye. Carries wrapped toffees in his pocket - adds to his allure. Hands them out to kids, and sucks on them himself. Dislikes the cold. It doesn’t agree with him. Makes him nose red. Though he does like the flush to his cheeks. Likes crowds, they energise him. Loves sweet tea.

Vices & Personality flaws

Though that may be true - about the no temper - but he can get a bit irritated. When people are averse to his charm. Namely one person. Also the sweets may be a vice. He eats too much sometimes. He makes up for it but brushing his teeth a lot. Can’t be a charmer with yellow teeth. He’s a bit slow too. He can be stubborn. And he’s a bit of a player, clearly.

Snaps a lot - his fingers. Randomly, and in tune with things. Has a hand in his pockets a lot, his fingers around his sweets as he walks along.

Super clean. Gotta be. Part of his charm. His room’s a bit of a mess, let’s be honest. Always clean shaven, with clean, crisp clothes. Sometimes there are wrappers in his pockets. He doesn’t litter, after all.

Contacts & Relations

The one relationship that really matters is the one with Maram, the Rebel. It also involves Rafa, but she isn’t really in this story. Well, Maram was one of his ‘catches,’ for lack of a better word. He lured her in, and she fell hard. She found out he was engaged, and felt it her duty to tell Rafa that he was out seducing other girls. And Rafa felt betrayed and humiliated and promptly broke his heart. She mentioned something about a girl who was very pretty, very angry, and he felt that description suit nobody but Maram. So he confronted her, she didn’t deny what she’d done, he called her terrible and selfish, and that’s where their kingdom-feud began.

Social Aptitude

Flirtatious. Charming. Very charismatic. Vibrant and energetic. Polite but not extremely polite. He’s a bit of a mocker, in a playful way of course.

Mannerisms

He’s a touchy guy, hugs a lot, pats backs, never crosses his arms. Always ready to embrace someone. Salutes to people as he walks along - either a hand to his forehead or a wave.

Hobbies & Pets

Calligraphy. He likes having pretty handwriting. Maram would say “a pointless hobby for a pointless person.” But he doesn’t mind. Helps him lure in possible rebels. He also enjoys reading. It helps him with his own story weaving.

Speech

Always punctuates his dialogue with ‘ah’ or ‘eh,’ like he’s including whoever’s listening. Because it’s easier for people to agree with you if they think you’re talking directly to them. He also repeats a person’s name a lot, to hold their attention.

His parents are rich, and they don’t mind giving him money. He has his own little house in al-Ghani. And works as well. So, his own personal wealth isn’t extreme, but he will never be on the streets.
