Palespawn

The lonely daughters of the Pallid Mother.   The Palespawn are the descendants of the Pallid Mother, who instilled a strong spirit of independence and self-reliance in her daughters before tossing them out into the Jungle of Queens to fend for themselves. They have diligently passed this tradition along. For this reason, they are the One of the Five-and-One Tribes, as they're not a tribe, like the others, yet still maintain cultural traditions and a common ancestor.   To refer to pale- or pink-skinned blockheads as a whole, use "pales" or "pallids".

Ideals

Courtship Ideals

A Palespawn seeking a partner will typically seek out the rarity that is the Palespawn sire. Sires typically live short and miserable lives, unless they are either chosen for a bearer's harem or manage to squeeze their way into civilized society. Prospective sires do not have much say in the matter, being predominantly incapable of communication with other Palespawn.   Sometimes a bearer decides she wishes to take the sire of another species as a partner, which can be a lot harder for both parties, as neither share tradition nor can typically communicate in any way to one another. Even the absence of a horn to indicate bedicked status leads Palespawn to mistake bearers for sires. The end result is rarely pleasant for the object of the Palespawn's affection.

Relationship Ideals

The ideal varies, with the only commonality being that relationships are formed almost always out of desire to reproduce. It is incredibly rare that a Palespawn partners up for reasons of love. The two common structures are either of a bearer-mistress with a harem of sire-wives or of an unbonding bearer who ditches or devours all her partners.
