Large dwarf city built deep underground. Impossibly deep below Astryia and is home to the majority of the deep dwarfs. Built hundreds of miles below the Vulanti river, nearly below Vulantis itself. It takes over a week of travel to reach the city which is built at the very bottom of the inside of the landmass. There is even rumor of a doorway into the great darkness somewhere in the Kingdom.
Outsiders aren’t technically forbidden into Vaahd Knulheim, but one usually has to gain the trust of someone from there in order to be invited into the city. Other than dwarves few surface dwellers ever make it too the city, with the sole exception of Mountain Clan Reptilkin who have a generally good relationship with the dwarves. The surface dwellers that do make it down are always shocked by the advanced steam mechanics of the dwarfs.
There is a heavy focus on mining raw materials that can only be found here. Such as the materials required to make gunpowder.
Architecture: carved black stone with silver and steel accents. They make use of thick blocks of Stone, or carving the natural stone, to make large stone structures. Often makes even simple buildings feel like a fortified castle.
Imports: Charcoal, Surface grown foods.
Exports: Finely crafted Weapons and armors, gunpowder, other raw metals, and simple steam works and mechanical items.
