Arcanic Apocalypse

A powerful spell went awry causing a massive explosion that radiated out across the nightsong forest to the mentians that are now called the Hellfire Range. The ripple of magical energy caused an horrific shift in the landscape twisting it into an apocalyptic wasteland where few are able to survive. A small part of the city of Ishti Thalore was destroyed in the initial explosion, but the city was able to quickly rebuild. They were however forced to erect and continuously maintain a forcefield around the city to protect it from the harsh storms that now radiate off the Arcanic Wastes.
