Arlo Cian O'Donoghue is a philanthropist that lives in a large manor near the city of Chusett. He is a known collector of fine arts and exotic goods, and is active in local politics, mostly as a financial backer of several politicians. The source of his money is mostly unknown, except that he had acquired it before arriving in Chusett and that he doesn't keep it in a bank. He rarely leaves his manor, although when he does, he seems to end up and the location of a crime, although he has never been charged or even accused of involvement.
Early Life and Military Career
Arlo was born in 1882 in a small village near the western border of Pontura. There he grew up on a farm, raising livestock. In the years following the Abandonment, his village became a garrison for troops fighting in the Prayerless War. At the age of 14, Arlo moved to Felshi in order to enlist and with desire to protect his home and country. Two years later, he arrived on the northern battlefront and fought with the 103rd Infantry. During his time there he earned a two medals for bravery. The 103rd was pulled from the line after suffering heavy casualties in 1901 and sent to Chusett for recovery, resupply, and reinforcement. Six months later, the unit was deployed again, this time alongside the 4th and 11th Arcane Artillery, and the 2nd Special Warfare units. They were assigned the difficult task of sealing the Gashiinki portal at the center of a devil encampment. Again, Arlo showed his bravery, helping to secure a the 4th's left flank after having their communications cut.
