Old Tongue

Kara examins the ancient tome, making sure that it was unharmed. It did appear so. She let out a breath and opens it towards the back, searching for some of it's earliest pages. The ancient pages towards the back show some more wear. Rahul had clearly taken care of the book, of that she is grateful for, though nothing else. 
She reaches the pages she's looking for. Most of it is written in the old tongue of her cult, which only causes some minor trouble. The text talks about the cult they fought over two thouand years ago. A terrible group, having risen the anger of Hel and led her to select her first champion, to protect the world from those who would deal with eldrich horrors. There horrible mark that is now tattooed onto young Wiess' back is there as well, as well as the words 'To see this once more, horrors come. Flee if weak, invesgitate if strong. Never engage alone.'
Her head hurts from working though the old tongue and in the poor light as well. An idea comes to mind. What if she were to read the old tongue aloud? That might make things clearer. Voice does often grant different power to words.
"Right, let's start again." She says, beginning to read aloud. "The enemy appeared, as if on an ill wind."
