Ghostly Eyes
Tom can't shake the date with Kara from his mind. She had been so pleasent, so sweet. Those eyes, ghostly green and so bright, so pretty. He sinks into the grass more, staring past the small collection of souls hovering about him. He'd never felt like someone was looking into him the way it felt when she was looking at him.
"Tomorrow." He whispers, smiling. "It will be nice, seeing her eyes. again."
A soul lightly taps his side with their foot. He looks up and sees a warrior looking at him. "So, we're dead."
Tom nods, a bit distracted. "Yes, your guide will be here shortly."
"I told the captain that dream Cly had about that black squirrel was an omen but did he listen, no." Tom sits up, stretching.
"It is a pity that omens aren't always listened too but such is life and death. Fear not, you shall be safe with me until your guide arrives."
His mind returns to Kara's eyes. Almost the same color as the souls hovering about him now. Except the really red one, that one was probably one of Ares paladins' who's throwing a fit now that he's dead. Can't keep killing if your dead.
"You seem distracted today." Tom looks up to see of all people, Hermes.
"Distracted but still doing what I must. I'll leave them to you now." Tom wanders off, still lost in though and daydreaming about Kara and her ghostly eyes.
