El-Doron (El-Deryn)

I remember this outpost from when I was young. It was small but sturdy, safe from the world. That was the idea at least. I can't believe the Eternal Sun did this.    I run my hand down the mark on the Senator's house's door. They'd burned their mark into the door, along the walls of the other buildings, crucified Senator Alassëa and her aids. This once lovely little city is now in ruins. It hurts, it hurts so bad.   "This is why I need to get home. I have to be where I can protect my people." I sink to my knees, head in my hands. I've been gone so long, I've failed again.

Government

The senator of the small outpost cares for and see to the day-to-day things with the help of their aids and the outpost guard. The senator reports back to the capital, Carachdanna, and makes visits when senate meetings are being held.  This small governmental body handles everything, tending to the laws that make the settlement run and keeping them safe, though the majority of their laws are also the laws of the homeland.

Defences

Most of the outpost's protection are natural barriers. The Sunscraper Peaks are the barrier to the north, keeping out the Eternal Sun and the Southern Sea is notoriously dangerous and only highly skilled sailors dare travel it, limiting the number of people who come near their port. The Eledhrim don't care for outsiders too much as those from other countries still don't fully understand them and their ways. Casters and Dragons help protect the city as well.

Industry & Trade

The outpost was built as a waystation for travelers, Riders and soldiers for the Eledhrim as we began trying to expand beyond our homeland.

Infrastructure

Small and tightknit, the outpost has a small shipyard, mostly for ships from the homeland as they deal with others very little. Only the Pupuhi'atu otherwise interact with them and that is a rare occasion. Otherwise, they're pretty isolated, tucked in a little nook with magic weaving through the area that hides them from those who would harm them, such as the Order of the Eternal Sun.   The outpost has a small circle at the center where meetings and a market can be found.

History

The little outpost was founded by King Dihenion and Lady Echuiel, as it was a settlement of the Figil. Little happened, beyond a small attack of the Eternal Sun that was driven back by King Dihenion and some of his army. It was horribly nasty for the Eternal Sun as Dihenion didn't take kindly to his people being attack. History was quiet for them otherwise until the Eternal Sun launched another attack in 520,546. That attack destroyed the city and left no one behind.

Geography

Sheltered in a nook of mountains with a natural port that is safe from the harsh Southern Sea weather. It is gorgeous, a bit chilly in the winter but as it is a bit farther north than the homeland, it doesn't get the viscous winter storms everyone back home gets.

Natural Resources

Some small fields and fishing, enough to make it self-sufficient.
