Kingdom of Erziehen

A short-lived endeavor by certain members of the Erziehen upper class to reestablish rationality in a post-god world. The Kingdom of Erziehen lasted only from 1643 to 1668 when a swift and targeted revolution beheaded the self-appointed nobility of the kingdom and led to the creation of the Erziehen Republic.
King Rufus Peabody II, supported by a host of wealthy business owners, took power in 1643 and began to institute sweeping political and city reform. While the king's rule is regarded universally as a terrible thing, the institutions established have become some of the longest lasting and most prominent in Albietha. These include Erziehen's Libraries and Universities, which are now seen as beacons of hope and intellectualism in the Post-Malignancy world.
The modus operandus of the Kingdom of Erziehen was to increase funding for the arts and establish new institutions of Education and museums.  The problem being that the construction on the raised city had just begun, and the foundations of the city were as of yet incomplete.  This led to these new institutions being built on unfinished and rushed foundations.  The result being that the years following the additions of the monarchy were rife with accidents, implosions, and all-around structural instability.  The Kingship refused to acknowledge fault in these actions, which only further contributed to the growing frustrations with the nation's leadership.  After only twenty-five years of rule, King Rufus Peabody II, along with his wealthy advisorship, were publicly executed by citizen coalitions and a citizen elected government was established.  This government would soon find its title as the Erziehen Republic.
