Overview
When you visit Queenie, she treats you like you are her long, lost great grandchildren, and tells you to call her, Granny Laci. She motions you into her home and tells you to rest your butt on the couch which is overflowing with pillows. Granny Laci looks like she is 110 years old, but when she turns away from you, you notice that she has scales down the side of her neck. They are a matte black, but sparkle when the light hits them just right.
The old crone wants to know all about your life and where you came from. She sits in her chair, resting her arms on her cane, squinting to make out your features. She's a friendly sort, but because of her age, lack of mobility and eyesight, makes it hard for her to get around tent town and into the city.
She tells you all about how when her husband died some 25 years ago, she turned her attic and basement into apartments and started to rent them out, so that she wouldn't lose her home. She has rented them both out to a variety of people over the years. She currently has a couple of reprobates living with her now.
Drew Rosner lives upstairs. He is always late with the rent, but she feels bad because he only has one arm and one eye. She wonders what happened to him, but he refuses to answer questions. He spends his days working in the mines doing who knows what, and his night in the cheap pub in the City Watch District.
Delmar Iden lives in the basement. He goes away for days, then comes back and doesn't leave the basement until he disappears again. His rent is always on time, sometimes a couple days early, so Granny Laci can't complain. She wonders what he's getting up to in the basement though.
