His living room of his basement apartment is filled with his set-up for tinkering and alchemy with only a small corner where he has a bed and a trunk for his clothes. The bedroom is filled with supplies, parts, and projects for his tinkering. His kitchen table is filled with papers and plans. You can't go anywhere in his same apartment without tripping over something to do with his tinkering.

Pets

Delmar eats outside on a small table that his upstairs neighbor put out for relaxing in the evening. There is a free-range cat that comes around, and Delmar will share his meals with the tomcat on occasion. Delmar has let the cat inside on the rare freezing cold night when the cat has screeched at his door. The cat, which Delmar has named, Beezee, prefers to roam Mordisi rather than stay with Delmar full time. Delmar prefers that as well.
