The survivors of the western continent gather to make alliances and choose their homelands.

The survivors living in subterranean shelters during the Age of Poisoned Sea and Sky adopted various terms to name their individual communities. During the lost generations, the origins of names such as "Owl Cave," "Bunker 35," "Virginia Vault", and "Home Shelter" were lost, but the names endured.   During Renewal, survivors became settlers and found themselves in direct competition for resources in a fragile and unclaimed wilderness. The various tribes called the surface world by many names, including Topside and Skyhome. All wanted to take a part of Skyhome for themselves.   Legend has it that under the direction of a Visitor being known as Douglas Knight, a "Cave Assembly" was organized to bring the settler factions together and decide how best to use the reclaimed lands of Skyhome. This meeting established the first clans or tribes of Survivor-Settlers and further determined the homelands of these various tribes.
