A lethal disease ravages the population of Skyland

For half a century a terrible disease spreads across Skyland. By the end of the pestilence, over a third of the population is lost. The death toll is worse in the southern lands of the Sun Seeker tribe, where it is believed the disease originated.   The Sun Seekers name it the "Ajna Plague." The name is derived from the sixth chakra, "Ajna": the third eye chakra. This name refers to the unusual tendency for victims of the disease to exhibit precognitive abilities prior to the onset of lethal pathology.
