Alderrath
Alderrath is a nation of lakes and waterways. There is even water in the air as a mist tends to settle over the land more often than not. It is frequently overcast if it isn't actually drizzling, but the weather is rarely severe. If one gets used to the ever-present gray and humidity, it is a pleasant enough place. The country is led by Chairman Elihu, a half-orc that was chosen by the Peers to lead their elected body. Each area of the country sends representatives, called Peers, to the capital city where they deliberate and debate the running of the country. The Chairman leads these sessions and maintains civility within the chambers.
Natives of the country tend to be pale of skin thanks to the overcast nature of the area, but Alderrath is a place of great diversity in both race and color. Many persecuted groups have fled their homelands to come to a place where everyone is (supposedly) equal, leading to an intermixed society.
