Talan has white tattoos all over the left side of his body. His hair and eyes are both almost white.

When Talan uses his inherent magical gifts, his tattoos glow.

Personal history
In 273 1E, Talan was born to druid parents during the Harmonic Convergence, which gave him powerful lunar magic powers. He was kidnapped at a young age and taken to the Feywild by Natasha the Dark to be raised as her son.
One day while exploring, he accidentally fell through a portal back to the Prime Material Plane, landing near Swanford.
In The Drunken Swanmay, Talan witnessed Dandelion eating a piece of paper off of the wall. He asked him about it, and the two then met Mitus the Mighty. The three of them formed a new group and got a room from Brana Mako. As the most wealthy, Talan paid for the room.
Later that night, the group witnessed the death of Rowan Ashmark. Upon investigating his body, Talan found the symbol of Natasha the Dark carved into his chest.
The next day, Talan woke up very late in the day and then the group went to check out Ashmark Acres. After defeating the steam mephits, Talan cast Detect Magic as a ritual and sensed several types of magic, including Divination all over the house. As he looked around, he found the Journal of Rowan Ashmark hidden behind an illusion. It contained information about Swanford Keep.
The group decided to rest outside before heading to Swanford Keep. After setting up their tents, Talan went into his and found a large white box marked with Natasha the Dark's symbol. Inside he found a Broom of Flying and a note from his adoptive mother:
A gift for you, my son. We’ll be seeing each other soon.
