Personal history
Edric Blackthorn was born 5 minutes before his twin sister, Olympia. He has spent his whole life feeling responsible for her.
While she developed extreme intelligence and a talent for magic, he adopted the way of swordsmanship. For a brief time, he even became a member of a paladin order. However, after a disagreement between him and his superiors, he broke his Oath and killed them all.
He began traveling with his sister in search of an artifact that would help them take over and destroy all of Omnios. They didn't know what it was, but found out that it was being held by the Cult of the Goat's Head.
Edric and his sister broke Silas out of prison in Xephen to help them. They traveled to the Temple of the Goat's Head and found out that the item they were looking for was the Wand of Orcus.
Silas obtained the wand and attempted to flee. As he did, he used the wand to cast Power Word: Kill on Edric, making him drop dead.
Luckily, a cleric of Life named Priya was undercover with the cult and both banished Silas and revived him from the dead. Unfortunately for her, he repaid her with a sword in the back.
Edric and his sister knew Silas would be back soon, and so they fled with the Wand of Orcus.
