Deep Gnomes

Deep Gnomes, also known as Svirfneblin, are a secretive and stoic subspecies of Gnomes that live in the subterranean depths, particularly in the Underdark. These gnomes have adapted to the harsh, dark environment by developing a natural resistance to magic and a deep understanding of survival in their hostile home. Unlike their more jovial surface cousins, deep gnomes are often reserved and cautious, preferring to avoid conflict rather than engage in it. Despite their more somber nature, they are skilled miners and craftsmen, specializing in precious gems and metals, which they trade with other subterranean races.
