Mistshire

Mistshire was a town in the south of the Kingdom of Eastvale.

Demographics

Mistshire was mainly inhabited by humans, but there were many halflings and a few half-elves due to being so close to Halfling Hills and the Elvish Woods, respectively.

Government

Lord Atticus Fogg was the last ruler of Mistshire. He spent several years shut away in Mistshire Keep, causing tensions to rise. The people of Mistshire felt as if they were not being heard.    After the town was resettled, Alester Calloway became the new Lord of Mistshire, a title his descendants would later inherit.

Defences

Both of the roads that lead into Mistshire had guards posted at them at all times. Otherwise, the only way into town was through a thick forest, which grew thicker and thornier in the last few years of the town.

Infrastructure

There are two roads that lead into Mistshire. One is a short one that leads towards Eastvale and Abingdon. The other heads in the direction of Halfling Hills.

History

In 48 3E, Auntie Gertrude Frogtooth began to terrorize the people of Mistshire, turning them against each other by mimicing voices. The town was in total chaos when Chaotic Okay arrived in town.    In the early morning of September 9th, 48 3E, an ogre attacked the town, destroying many of the buildings and killing townsfolk by the dozen. The remaining inhabitants began looting and fleeing.   In the aftermath, Waywocket was seen joining in on the looting and murdering innocent people with Blackrazor.   In 78 3E, the Ruins of Mistshire had been inhabited by a few people who were too poor to make a living in Eastvale. They were living under the thumbs of bandit thugs living in Mistshire Keep. As The Iron Fairies made their way through the ruins, several of these bandits attacked and were defeated easily. A bystander, Alester Calloway, was inspired by them and gave them Wings of Flying as a thank you. Puck then stepped out and told Alester to fight for his home.   After the Iron Fairies left, Alester and a group of his companions went to Mistshire Keep and took back Mistshire. Soon after, they officially settled the town rather than just squatting there, and Alester Calloway was made Lord of Mistshire.   At the end of the Fourth Era, Jasper “Lucky Jack” Calloway was Lord of Mistshire.
