The Draconium Era

The Draconium Era is the oldest known Era of Illios. This era occurred 12,000 - 8,000 years ago. During this time the land of Illios (Then known as Draconium) was ruled by the Dragons. The land was divided amongst the Dragons, some kept the people of the land as loyal worshipers, others as slaves.
While artifacts have shown up across Illios from this era, The Land now known as StormHaven has revealed many treasures from this Era, from full skeletal dragons to broken stone tablets. Researchers believe somewhere within the lands of the Old StormHaven Empire lies the home of the Last Dragon King, a Gold Dragon who ruled all of Draconium.
around 8,000 years ago the Dragons disappeared leaving the land of Draconium free from Dragon rule, what happened is unknown but has long been the subject of research, theory, and debate.
While rare, Draconic Sorcerers are known to appear in the land of Illios due to this time period.
