Festival of the Bright

A 3 day long festival in Cadanval is held in the fall, and spring, every year. Dimo is the Patron God of the city, and the festival of the Bright symbolizes rebirth. Participants write letters in small hand held boats, these letters can be last goodbyes, regrets, broken dreams, etc, whatever a person feels they need to let go off, and sends them off in the waters of the Bright Bay on the last night of the festival. The Bright Bay becomes illuminated, glowing blue on the last night of the festival. Every spring the festival is held the same, only this time the boats are filled with letters/notes of what people wish to accomplish in the year, or people they wish to reconnect with. And on the last night of the festival, when the boats are set off, the Bay once again glows.

History

The festival is as old as the city of Cadanval itself. It began as a way to pay respect to Dimo. And it is believed that the City of Cadanval is blessed by Dimo, shown through the illumination of the Bright Bay,
