Early Life and Parentage

The early life of Noritë is largely unknown as is her true parentage. She herself carries a quite unusual heritage as she is half-dwarf half elf, yet it is unknown, which one would be her father or her mother. These kind of offsprings are generally very rare and thought by most to not exist at all. One thing, which all of these rare children have in common is that they are all sterile. It is generally agree upon that both of her parents had to be powerful Mages. While the Gift of Magic is generally not seen as purely hereditary, having parents, who are also mages and recognise such abilities, makes their development more likely and easier. Her native language is most likely Emat, which she usually uses to converse with people. She herself had never talked much about her past, which adds to her secretive identity.

Advisor to Emperors

Noritë appeared on the world stage in the year 394. Already a fully fledged master in several schools of the magical arts. People later reported to have sometimes seen her, yet not much is confirmed where and with whom she had trained. It was then when she met Irian Dauler, a distant descendent of Dauler the Great and already known as legendary warrior. He had been mostly military commander and concerned with restoring the Daulerim Empire to former glory. In this time she became his most trusted advisor until he become Emperor in 402. She served him and his descendents for the following century. This period came to be known as the Imperial Reformation, a new golden age for the Empire.

Disappearance

She outlived Irian and several of his heirs and it is said that when sadness overtook her she left the court of the Daulerim Dynasty. This explanation must not be true, but at some point she receded from the public eye and sometime after left the court. She returned to wandering around. People report to have seen and conversed with her during this time. She showed in villages in need to help the people. She taught other mages, yet she never stayed long at one place. Over time she was forgotten by the public conciousness to be a real person, but instead become an almost legendary figure herself.

Reappearance

Since the year 730 people report to have seen her more frequently. Under the name Adula she appeared troughout the Empire, both seeking and giving guidance. Her renewed presence on the world stage was noted by both the Daulerim and Illodian Empire, such as that Elamon Dauler had send out parties to search for her, to invite her to his court. The Grandmaster of the Order of Edlam Ragaster Telve, claiming to have encountered her himself in his youth took also special interest in her reappearance. Her reappearance is seen by many as a sign that great changes will happen and great danger is on the horizon.

Abilities

The most obvious ability of Noritë is her prolonged life. A technique mastered first by elven mages and highly unusual to dwarven mages, who rarely live past two centuries. The other thing apparent about her are her tattoos and scars. her entire body is covered in tattoo and scars showing symbols of great power. These are practiced by some skilled Runic Mages and by the elusive Southern Dwarves. With her she carries a drum painted in magic symbols, indicating that she had spent time among the Shamans of the northern lands. The true extend of her powers is unknown as few have tried to stand against her and fewer have survived such an encounter. Without doubt she belongs to the most powerful mages of this era.
