As with all characters that must be created, you must know who you want to be. See the questionnaire below to get some ideas as to what makes your character tick. Start with what race you wish your character to be. After you have decided which race your character should be, choose from any of the classes listed below. Once you have determined which race and class you wish your character to be, think about which background would fit them best and if they follow a deity or not. Consider WHY your character is the chosen race, class, background, and religious affiliation.
Before answering these questions and considering what character you plan to create and be sure to check out the Rules section of Ilara.
Consider the following as you are creating a character:
What do you look like?
Where do you hail from?
Who are your family?
How did you fall into your profession? (Class)
What is the most important event of your life so far?
How would your character react to moral dilemmas?
Who do you worship? Do you even worship the gods?
What is your biggest flaw?
What is your greatest fear?
Who is your greatest enemy?
Are you a member of any factions? If so, how did you come to join that faction?
How do your ability scores define your personality?
What motivates you?
What do you most despise in others?
What is your greatest ambition?
What is the worst thing your character has done?
What is your greatest secret?
What is your character’s voice?
What do you think of possible companions?
How does your character relax?
Above all, ask yourself "Why?" when coming up with your character.
CHARACTER SHEET Please use the following for your character sheets and make a copy to your drive. Once the initial character sheet is created, your GM will import it into the Foundry.
Ilara Character SheetStandard Array and Floating Ability Score When creating your character, please use the Standard Array as follows:
17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8
Simply assign one number to each ability score (one to Strength, one to Dexterity, one to Constitution, and so on). Then, you can determine your character’s modifier for each score.
Additionally, during character creation, you may take one point from any racial ability score granted to your ability scores, and move it to any other score that does not already gain a bonus from your race.
