S.O.U.L.
A radical and secret organization dedicated to finding the secrets of life itself. S.O.U.L. (Scientific Organization Utilizing Life) is an inherently clandestine organization whose higher-ups are both hidden and powerful.
The only powerful leader that has been revealed so far is Professor Finn, a once well-respected professor of the College of Maho who was studying the effects of higher intelligence in non-intelligent beasts. He believed that a higher level could be achieved if one was able to perfect the unison of beast and machine.
Those who have encountered members of S.O.U.L. have described them as wearing black cloaks with red details. Some of the members have been described as arcane masters while others have been described as mechanized warriors.
Only recently has the origin of S.O.U.L. been uncovered by the adventurers who unearthed Percivil Penndragon's Lost Vault. Through their battle with the radicalized artificial intelligence known as S.A.M., they discovered that he was the creator of the organization. Their original goal was to discover the essence of the soul. Once the organization could achieve the means to create an artificial soul, then S.A.M. would have had another piece of the puzzle to claim the Vault for his own. With the destruction of their shadow leader, the organization will need to find a new leader to drive their new cause.
