Harvest Festival Typhoon Toshi1013

In Toshi1013, a great typhoon occurred because of two deities trying to determine who was the most powerful. This typhoon within the Ryukyuri Islands has stood as a historical marker for many strange events, especially the event known as **PLACEHOLDER**.
For the local Ryukyurian, deities are a normal part of life, and some are interacted with daily depending on the situation and need; the fisherman going out for the daily catch, the farmer tending and harvesting their crops, the hunter for food.
During the Umi no Miyako no Sekku harvest festival of Toshi1013 on Iheya, Rajin, the god of lightning, thunder and storms was arguing with Fujin, the god of wind, over who was the strongest and, during their debate, created a typhoon that caused Inarai to lose her companion Myobuu. The loss of her companion caused Inarai's usually stoic composure to break and accidentally assisted with the creation of a rift that opened to the Underworld allowing the invasion of the Demon under lords **PLACEHOLDER - Shinigami? Daimou mazoku?** who at the same time as the festival, was being summoned by the Necromancer Mikanshikan when he inadvertently(?) mispronounced a spell that was only supposed to simply corrupt and ruin local harvest supplies being presented to tourists and to Inarai during the festival. In fact, the necromancer corrupted the actual nearby land and the cave where the festival was being held, creating an interplanar opening...but we'll get to that another time.
**--** Rajin is known as the god of lightning thunder and storms and Fujin is known as the god of wind. Together they regularly cooperate and help 'cleanse' the local water surrounding the Ryukyuri Islands in the summer as at times the waters become "stale". These storms allow for removing old ocean waters and cycling in fresh water from deeper and further out from shore. Many marine species are dependent on this cycle as their life cycle involves coming from deeper depths to lay eggs and reproduce before returning to deeper waters.
From minor squalls to typhoons, this pair of deities (along with Ryujin) are essential to the island's wellbeing and over time have been responsible for many evolutionary changes in the area. This pair is suspected of protecting the islands as the same deities have been "seen" to destroy invading forces when properly requested. Without the abilities and blessings from Rajin and Fujin, the Ryukyuri Islands would not be the same and the people so strong.
