Basic Information

Anatomy

Orcs are bipedal people with a dense muscular system. Their bones are denser than many of the other people of Ifiron, making them resilient to damage.

Biological Traits

One of the useful skills of an Orc is their ability temporarily undergo a state of increased strength. Akin to an adrenaline rush, they are able to overcome their normal limitations for a short period of time sometimes doubling their overall strength.

Genetics and Reproduction

Orcs have a fairly short gestation period, around 5 months (200 days), and reproduced sexually.

Growth Rate & Stages

Orcs mature at a fairly quick pace, becoming full-grown around the age of 13 though this varies based on region.

Ecology and Habitats

Orcs are capable of inhabiting nearly any environment as their bodies are highly adaptable to changing conditions. It has even been proven that some Orcs survive better in deep parts of the ocean as their bodies are more resistant to increasing pressures.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Orcs are omnivores, eating whatever they feel like.

Social Structure

This varies from area to area, but Orcs are very community-centered. While they have their own families to care for, they are more than happy to help out other members of their community. The head of a family is usually decided upon by the family itself as to who they think is best to lead. This reflects in the community as well, with certain Orcs taking up specific roles.
How leaders are decided is determined by the individual community. For example, the Orcs of Itherion use combat to determine leaders, while the Orcs of Fleaheil have adopted a more democratic approach.

Facial characteristics

The most notable features on Orcs are their tusks which protrude from their sharp lower jaws. The size of these tusks varies based on families and regions.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Orcs can be found on nearly every continent with a few exceptions: Itherion (because of the Endless War) , Kucura, and Agura.

In general, Orcs admire strength. This can manifest in any number of ways from rippling muscles to acts of incredible courage.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Orcish is a broad spectrum of languages that varies based on regions. While someone who learns Orcish can understand most dialects, vocabulary and nuance can sometimes be missed.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Orcs are capable of reproducing with Humans to produce a Half-Orc child. A Half-Orc or Half-Elf can also come from the bond between an Orc and an Elf because of the Elves productive system.
From a social relationship, this varies on the region again. In Itherion people do not get along with the Orcs from Orcium due to the endless blood spilled in the Endless War. This endless bloodlust of the Orcs seems unnatural for most people on Ifiron and has been debated by scholars attempting to find the source of this unending hatred. The leading theory is that something is controlling the Orcs to fight in this way.
The people of Itherion have no contact with people outside of the Line of Fire and Lightning, where a majority of the Orc population resides. Nowhere on the Material Plane is there a war on this scale involving the Orcs.
