The Divines. A collective of the celestial host that includes The Lost Gods & Goddesses, The Fallen Ones, The Nine Divines , Angels, Demons, Arcanist , and others.
The Hierarchy of The Divines places The Lost Gods & Goddesses at the top. These beings are responsible for the universe, as a whole, from the planets to the galaxies. They created and organized the matter on a macro scale and created the concepts of Life, Death, Impermanence, and Matter. They are the ones who stripped The Fallen Ones of their names, the ones who created- and later destroyed- the Arcanists, and who manifested The Nine Divines.
Below them resides The Nine Divines . A group of lesser-deities, when compared to The Lost Gods & Goddesses, responsible for organizing the universe on a micro scale. These beings created the light that bathes worlds, the morality for mortals to distinguish themselves above that of the beasts, the freedom to not be contained or restricted, the winds to circulate the warmth and air, the knowledge to create and learn, the greed that drives mortals to progress and be happy, the beasts that roam the endless worlds, and the mystery of the unknown so that there will always be something to explore. These beings cannot control celestial bodies or even large enough pieces of matter on their own, instead they borrow the power of the Arcanists to accomplish such feats. The Nine Divines are responsible for a large majority of the strife on Idoria.
Below The Nine Divines , lay the Angels and Demons. These beings are not quite as powerful as the other mentioned beings, but their utilization by the others, in addition to their inability to be truly killed, typically is enough to get them mentioned along with the other members of the divines. These beings are responsible for the countless emotions of mortals from greed and lust to hope & patience and everything else in between.
There exists other powerful beings of varying strengths, though not as much is known about them. They are referred to as The Fallen Ones as they seek to unravel the universe in its entirety, rather than assist in its creation and perpetuation. Some are the ones responsible for the corruption of the Arcanists, who turned their boundless celestial-shaping powers into ones of destruction. Others don't even come from this universe, nor any that The Lost Gods & Goddesses would even recognize or know. After their hateful rampage of entropy and destruction, The Lost Gods & Goddesses stripped them of their names and banished them from this universe; any and all records of these beings have their names begin with a "Y" to symbolize them being separated from the other celestial beings. These beings brought annihilation, corruption, torment, perversion, and undoing into this universe; the consequences of which have effected all beings, mortal or otherwise.
The final beings to mention are the Arcanists, beings of similar power as The Lost Gods & Goddesses but without an immortal body. They were initially created to assist in the creation of the universe, but due to The Fallen Ones' actions, the Arcanists' minds were corrupted and began undoing much of the work they had accomplished. Everything from black holes, to dark matter, and dark energy & entropy came into being from their hands. Now they sit in stasis, their consciousnesses entirely torn from their bodies, waiting for a member of The Nine Divines to request their power momentarily before being placed back into the deep sleep.
