Sly'Lec

-"Similar to the hum'dova, the sly'lec are an inter-racial breed of ancient humans and a long-since extinct snake species. With the upper body of a human, but the lower half being that of a snake's. They're seen as sneaky, suspicious, and deceiving creatures with usually no good intent to be found." -Race Description from The World of Idoria TTRPG

-Thought to be a distance cousin of sorts to the hum'dova, the sly'lec share much of the same history, culture, and prejudice as their more draconic relatives. Their name, "sly'lec" is also a bastardization of their original name given to them by the humans, mixing the word "sly" with a shorthand for a local snake species. Their original name was "snry'leccaar", which scholars have deduced to mean something along the lines of "To Inherent The World" in ancient Silktongue. While they are almost-universally referred to as "sly'lec", it is seldom used between each other, as it is seen as derogatory and they feel it robs them of their divine birthright.

-These cold-blooded beings prefer the heat around desert regions, though a few have been spotted in more temperate regions.

-Despite their impressive length, they're incredibly nimble and quick to strike at their foes! While they're not venomous, much to the surprise of one research team from The Nation of Xylotile, the sly'lec possess several sharp fangs and a bite force capable of pulverizing bones in a single snack of their jaws.

-Where the Hum'Dova eminates magical energy after a victory, the sly'lec prefer to devour their slain opponents whole. This difference makes the two races' fighting styles quite unique, in that one kills for the thrill, but the other prefers a bit of an "after combat snack". Because of this, it is rare to witness a sly'lec utilizing weapons or tools of war that would otherwise compromise the integrity of their meal.
