Assassination of the Emperor
As the Emperor prepared to depart for the meeting in Caligo Oppidium for the naval conference of the Unicorn Sea he stopped first to give a speech at the Dockyards in Sestia. During his speech three bolts were fired into him by an unidentified assailant stood atop a building 300ft away. Guards gave pursuit and determined 4 targets dressed identically and woth similar features to that of the attacker. The bodyguard of the Emperor and his wife both attempted to heal the Emperor from his wounds but succumbed quiet soon after being shot. His final words are, "For peace I gave my sweat and for what? My blood be spilt as a symbol of war."
After the assassination his wife assumed the throne until her son could come of age.
