Sisterhood of Nemesis

Successor of the Sisters of Treiskyries, one of the two major Sisterhoods for modern Witches.

Structure

The Sisterhood of Nemesis has only one Mistress Supreme, their hierarchy system runs as such:   Novice - Wielder - Mistress - High Mistress - Mistress Supreme   The current Mistress Supreme of the Sisterhood of Nemesis is Rufina Sylvana, she is advised by their Circle of Thorns, whose leader is the High Mistress Wydian Sylvana-Tilyach.

Public Agenda

To pass down their knowledge of magic.   To revenge for their fallen sisters.   To regain the Nephalian's position over humans.

History

After the Witches fled into the forest, the Sisterhood of Candeliana enjoyed centuries of peace. Since the vast forest belongs to the Faefolk, the Yelaadim would not cross the border.   However, after the Yelaadim have committed genocide against the Alu Sages, and they themselves were stripped off their access of the Twilight Realm, the Temple of Light placed their wager on humans. Yelaadim spread the fear of magic among humans, and using the knowledge they snatched from the Sages, they sent humans into the Witches's forest. Humans, bound not by the laws of Nephalians, plundered the Witches's settlements.   Such conflicts escalated when a squad of Huldra Sentinels were killed in a crossfire, including a Sentinel captain of She'adhu. The Sisterhood was pushed by the Dorven court for an answer. One of the High Mistress, Dalia Sylvana, took it upon herself when her proposal was objected by the Inner Circle. Dalia and her followers created, might with a little Fae help, a powerful plague and unleashed it upon their enemies.   The Inner Circle, enraged by her action, banished Dalia and her followers north into the dark and dangerous Gryphon Stone.   The Sisters of Nemesis often blame their Candeliana counterpart as weak and hypocritical, arguing that they have defended the Sisterhood but were unjustly banished.
