Janth Alowar

Janth Alowar was a sage of the Arcane Brotherhood who was killed by the frost druid, Ravisin. He is now a ghost who, for as yet unknown reasons, is unable or unwilling to travel to his next plane of existence in the afterlife. Thus far, the only remarkable thing about Janth is his maniacal obsession with the leather satchel he clutches to his breast at all times.
The Party first encountered Janth as he possessed the form of the kobold Trex during their clearing of the mine in Termalaine. He requested the Party's help in easing the kobolds' acceptance into the town of Termalaine-proper. As barter for this help, Janth offered his knowledge as a medicinal botanist of the Arcane Brotherhood as payment for pleading their case.
Upon arrival in Termalaine, Janth attempted to escape the Party and, in the process, transferred his spirit into the body of a male human merchant from Termalaine. The Party has forced Janth (in his new human host) to accompany them to Targos, and perhaps beyond, as they search for a way to force or convince Janth to release the body of the merchant.
