King Hyrule - The Grieving
Denied the full triforce by his father, ruling hyrule with only the Triforce of Power available to him. When he was the prince, hearing that he would only be reciving one part of The Triforce, the prince worked with a magician to gain more power. This magician went against the then-prince's orders and put his sister, Princess Zelda I into a permanent, unwaking sleep. In his grief, the now-king of Hyrule decreed that from then on, the first-born daughter of the Hyrule Royal Family was to be named Zelda.
