Sleizbykt's Sweets Box

How It Works

Sweet confections, each the size of a thumbnail, contains one dose of a potion. Currently, there are six potions she has decided to make into delightful consumables.   All are coated in chocolate with a candy swirl ontop in the shape of one of six animals, each one respresenting one type of boon.   Bull is for Brawn. Bear is for Hearty. Cat is for Nimble. Fox is for Reason. Owl is for Focus. Eagle is for Flair.

The Cost

For the cost of a mere 150 gold draculs a customer can purchase a cute little box with 4 x 4 rows of confections (16 in total) inside. Eating one sweet dose in a day has no side effects. Eating a second dose in a day will give the creature a side effect. These effects are:
  • BULL When the second dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon and becomes aggressively obssessed with the color red. They will charge and try to attack anyone wearing red or destroy any object that is red. This will end soon as the dose wears off.   When the third dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon, becomes aggressively obssessed with the color red, and turns into a bull for the next 24 hours. This is a curse.

  • BEAR When the second dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the boon and becomes obssessed with honey. They can detect the presense of any honey within 30 feet and will go throguh anyone or anything to eat it. This will end soon as the dose wears off.   When the third dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon, becomes obbsessive over honey, and is turned into a Bear for the next 24 hours. This is a curse.

  • CAT When the second dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is obssessed with knocking things off of surfaces. Knocking something off a surface is their primary goal before anything else. This will end soon as the dose wears off.   When the third dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon, becomes obssessed with knocking this off of surfaces, and is turned into a house cat for the next 24 hours. This is a curse.
  • FOX When the second dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is obssessed with trickery. Playing a prank or fooling someone is their primary goal before anything else. This will end soon as the dose wears off.   When the third dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon, becomes obsessed with trickery, and is turned into a fox for the next 24 hours. This is a curse.

  • OWL When the second dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is obssessed with saying "whoo", saying it at every opportunity. This will end soon as the dose wears off.   When the third dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon, becomes obsessed with saying "whoo", and is turned into an owl for the next 24 hours. This is a curse.

  • EAGLE When the second dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is obsessed with gaining the high ground and jumping down onto targets, even if just for fun. This will end soon as the dose wears off.   When the third dose of this type is consumed within a day, the creature is granted the Boon, becomes obsessed with gaining the high ground, and is turned into an eagle for the next 24 hours. This is a curse.

The Limitations

The Boon from these sweets do not stack if they are of the same type. For example, eating a two ear sweets will not double any aspect of the Bear boon.   However, more than one type of these sweets can be consumed at the same time and will grant both boons. For example, eating a bear sweet and an eagle sweet at the same time will grant the Bear boon and the Eagle boon.   Further, because these are different types, they will only count as one dose for each type and not as two doses for one or both types.

Origins

Sliezbykt mourned the reluctance of his customers in purchasing Baba Yaga's potions. Her brewings came with horrendous flavors that detered most who were not goblins, who have iron tough tastebuds, from purchasing them. He asked her if there was a way she could fix that so those weaker palletted folks would buy the potions she labored to make.   This request set off a whole day or three of cursing from Baba Yaga. Potions were meant to taste terrible! Otherwise fools would pester her incessently to make them more and all her days would be consumed with brewing. As her cursing and ire wore down, her thoughts churned faster and faster until an idea formed. What if she punished the fools who overindulged in her brews? Put in little curses that would only matter as more of them were consumed.   At the thought of curses she relaxed and a wicked grin spread across her face. She moved to her rocker and sat. As her chickens and fowl pecked about her yard, she happily pondered over which curses she would use.
