Death of a Queen
Conradin here. You better have a good reason for waking me up at this ungodly hour. Fact aside that use of this network without clearance is considered a capital crime.Addendum 29B - Video of ISNN reporting on populace reaction. I can tell you Mary, its utter mayhem down here. People here...they are crying, sinking to their feet, screaming to the heavens. From all age groups and social circles. Mary eh this...I can't really describe it. Its pandemonium out here! Never in my 100-year career have I ever seen something like this. Reports from other systems indicate that this reaction is present throughout the Confederacy. Mary eh this this is ar- unintelligible shouting -Mary, if anything this reaction shows just how much the populace loved Queen Casadea and only reinforces what a dark day this is for our people. Addendum 37A - Excerpt from the Historical Data Log approved by the Confederate Ministry for Education
This is Admiral Elizana Garred of the Seventh Fleet. We have entered the Casana System.
Report Admiral. What is happening out there?
My lord, the Royal Fleet...it is...it...
Speak goddamnit! Is the fleet under attack?
No sir. It is...destroyed. The Queen is dead.

While this is a tragedy, I would disagree with those calling it a disaster for the Confederacy. Queen Casadea may have been the most popular monarch in over a century, but in terms of actual power and influence probably among the most insignificant. The Senate has done its fair share in ensuring that the Crown loses power.
