Lake Mare

One of the three larger bodies of water in the The Black Forest. Alongside side Lake Dŵr and Lake Kelpie

Geography:

All three lakes in the The Black Forest are immensely deep and have a steep elevation kin to calderas. It is unknown, how they were formed. Only Lake Dŵr has permanent settlement near it.
Lake Mare is the only one with an island at the center of it. During summer, the island blossoms with flowers. There is also a small beach and a large clearing where settlement used to be. Some say the town became into what is now known as the Devouring Ruins. Lake Mare is extremely quiet and peaceful during summer, and it is almost inexplicable why it was abandoned.
