An astute Durek understood the problem and pro-actively sought an audience with the Church to alleviate their concerns. He presented them a business proposition explaining the merits of Battle Balt as an opportunity to grow and not a threat.
In consultation with the Queen it was agreed a White Lord statue would be the face at every battle balt contest. The church loved the idea and immediately commissioned wizards to create dozens of White Lord statues that mirrored the
Divines. Each one was then placed outside an arena to function as the
scoring mechanism.
Durek's masterstoke had once again found a resolution to two disparate viewpoints - Religion and Battle Balt became synchronously joined.
