Age of Tireste - Twilight Period

807AP
818AP

After Soul Stealer's domination in the arena leaving a trail of damaged bodies in both the IBL and ARL, the Queen banned Sorces in the Imperial Balt League.   She threatened to replace Tireste as King if he didn’t convince the ARL committee to stop Sorce’s in their league. He refused for it was her own law that said only an Imperial who defeated Tireste in a duel could replace him. And there was nobody alive mad enough to challenge Tireste's remarkable Sorce ability.   The Queen was forced to speak with the Church and used her status as The White Lord's chosen Guardian to convince them that Sorce’s were an unholy power for the Arena.

With the support of the Church the Queen issued a statement claiming any Imperials watching Sorce users in the arena would be tainted in the eyes of the Lord.   This convinced many Imperials to move away from the ARL league and shifted back to the IBL. The massive loss of revenue facing the ARL forced them into an emergency meeting.   In conclusion, it was understood only two options existed. Disband the league and go back to 3 separate race Leagues or ban Sorce’s from ARL matches. They unanimously agreed to the latter.   So, in 808AP Sorces were officially banned from all battle balt matches - without being allowed to see their favourite balters using their full immense powers, fans interest dwindled. By the time Tireste died, a decade later, the sport he had lived and breathed his whole life was heading into obscurity.
