Void Powered Centrifugal Generator (VPCG)

"All readings are good, fusion and fission rates stable. We're ready for lift off."
— Engineer Wrush speaking to the captain before takeoff
One of the greatest inventions in galactic history, the Void Powered Centrifugal Generator is a marvel of Void Energy usage in combination with fusion and fission energy generation. The generator uses three concentric rings that rotate on the three main axis to facilitate the infinite loop of fission and fusion that occurs in its interior. As these rings rotate, energy is drawn from the Void Crystal and used to cause the atoms in its containment field to divide and combine continuously. The energy produced by this process is then siphoned away to power any systems or equipment attached to is power array.

Utility

The primary purpose of this generator is energy output that is nearly infinite in nature and extraordinarily efficient. This has led to its primary usage in military and large scale civilian applications. The original purpose behind the creation of this generator was to facilitate the end of an energy crisis occurring on the Krellian homeworld of Kelli, but has now reached galactic scale use. Whether the design was copied by other races, or was a coincidence due to the rapid nature of its use across the galaxy, is unknown.

Access & Availability
Extremely expensive, the VPCG is usually only found on military craft or high end spaceships. VPCGs can also be found as a city's power supply, only their scale is much larger.
Complexity
The VPCG requires a combination of Void Energy manipulation with the aid of a Void Crystal, and using said manipulation to create an infinite loop of fusion and fission inside the generator. Due to this it requires many failsafe protocols and other safety measures to prevent too much energy being produced, or a total atomic breakdown. The most important component of the VPCG is the Void Crystal at its core, that while very long lasting, does have to be replaced from time to time. Without a functioning crystal, the generator's fusion and fission processes will breakdown and force a total shutdown to prevent a potential catastrophe.
