Halfling are a simple race of hunters and farmers, who do their level best to avoid other races. They are not Xenophopic, and are kind and hospitable to most types they meet, but are generally distrustful of the "Big Races." Those races desire for war and other unpleasant things are just not compatible with their relaxed nature.   Halflings are the only known source of Mageweed and guard their secrets religiously. They trade in other tobacco-like products, as well as food and drink, and prefer to remain neutral in most affairs.   It is rumoured that an order of assassins lives among them and protects their communities, but they will deny such rumours. All rumours are based in some form of truth, however, as folks causing issues in a Halfling town have been known to wake up outside of town the morning after with no memory of what happened. Those that come back again tend to just disappear.

Halfling Nimbleness: You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.

Lightfoot Variant

Ability Score Increase: Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Naturally Stealthy: You can attempt to hide even when you are obscured only by a creature that is at least ne size larger than you.

Stout Variant

Ability Score Increase: Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Stout Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
