Mageweed

Mageweed

This herb, when ingested as a tea or smoked, will enhance the casting of spells in various ways. The most common is a general use weed and will increase your skill with any spell you cast. It will leave you calm and aloof while it is affecting you, although sometimes the type of magic you use will influence this mood.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

This plant grows fast and tends to spread. This farmers have to take great care in keeping the various strains separated from each other to avoid accidental cross breeding of the plant. In the past when this occurred, it had very unpredictable results for the user.

Ecology and Habitats

Mageweed requires a large amount of sunlight and water to grow. It will die quickly if not regularly watered. They require good soil to grown and will prosper in swamps and plains well.   Care must be taken to avoid rodents from eating the weeds, as they will be affected by its power and can manifest random magically abilities on a small scale. This is especially dangerous for the Fireweed strain, as entire crops can be lost from just a few rogue rats.
