Despite growing up in a small hole outside Ramshore with his poor family, Kipling eventually made fast friends with a constable of Ramshore. This in turn helped him integrate into Ramshore's society better, despite growing up both poor and poorly civilized.
After the constable offered to move in Kipling and his aging parents and six siblings into a an abandoned house. To finance this living, Kipling decided to branch out as a manhunter. Or to say, a bounty hunter.
After catching a thief pickpocketing the owner of Ram Ranch, and giving him over to the local guards, he found a newfound admiration for the sanctioned law enforcement of the town.
When the same thief later got released, and sought out Kipling's family home, things changed dramatically. His new home burned down, and the criminal who did the deed going free, Kipling decided that he needed to become a guard to reform the system and also find and capture the thief.
