The Palladian Empire attempts to annex the kingdoms of Devonia.

Six months after negotiating peace between the Palladian Empire and the Confederacy of Maddrell, the governor of Cavalinium, Oppidum Tullas learned a large amount of defence funding allocated to his province had been revoked in light of the relative peace he had established in the region. Fearing being losing more funding and being recalled for his 'failure,' the governor announced the formal annexation of Devonia and the renunciation of all client kingdoms sworn to Palladia in the region. He slew King Jaffré's grandson and successor King Gildas and enslaved much of the population. Gildas's wife, Soccorda, managed to escape with her daughters, Berthog and Eiriana. Together, the three launched one of the most successful pre-Sundering uprisings, going so far as to never lose a single engagement. At the Battle of Proudshire, Soccorda killed Tullas and routed the entire Radiant Dawn detachment. Another was eventually sent to negotiate a truce with the Devonians and a border was established along the River Tam.
