Elves

Elves on Iolivus were totally unknown to the Negresti until the discovery of Ashcut pass. Natives of the Western Wilds, elves live in small communities that revere the natural energies of Korris. When questioned about their religious practices or gods, it is common to hear a Wood Elf, as they are known to those with knowledge of the Elven history, say, "The gods are dead. We killed them to save the world." This notion has been passed down through stories from their chiefs and spiritual leaders and talk of a time they call The Shattering when the ancient elves killed their corrupt gods and cast off their decadent leaders. Some elf warriors practice a form of hero worship, revering ancient Elven warriors who played important roles in The Shattering. There have been rumors among some Elven sages that some of their Brothers and Sisters left the Wilds after The Shattering and are attempting to rebuild their former glory somewhere on Korris, free from their god's corrupting influence. These rumors speak of towering spires of gleaming material that seems to grow and shape itself to their masters' desires and of unfathomable beauty… But, these stories have not been substantiated by any reputable scholar.
