Tenets of Faith

Ritual worship with the goal of obtaining information and insight from the Sisters is not uncommon. The most potent way to receive messages from the Sisters is through arcane magic spellcasting. These rituals typically require an advanced spellcaster and involve multiple rare components, complex somatic, recitation of prayer, and heavy concentration. Only the most advanced wizards, sorcerers, and warlocks can perform these rituals. Less advanced (and also less potent) rituals include tarot card readings and star-gazing. Worshipers believe that all questions in life can be directed to the night sky. Whether or not they are answered is up to the Sisters.   Worshipers also believe that cloudy nights are a bad omen and avoid the outdoors on nights such as this. It is interpreted as “information withheld” and is usually caused by a worshiper asking a question that they are not destined to know the answer to -- some information is only for the Gods and Goddesses to know.

Quotes

“To overcome the fear of the unknown shall be your greatest accomplishment.” ~Celuria, Herald of Celeste   “The vastness of the sky is but a reflection of the vastness within each being.” ~Galadria the Mystic, Saint of Celeste   “Some truths are not meant to be known.” ~Gerdion the Hermit, Saint of Celeste

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Celeste is believed by some worshipers to transmit messages from other realms of the universe through the stars. Certain worshipers therefore believe in existence higher than the Gods and Goddesses or Oros, which to some constitutes heresy. This is why worshipers mainly perform their rituals remotely or in total privacy.   Worshipers of Celeste come from all walks of life, from farmers to merchants to nobles. She is often worshiped alongside her sister, Lunazrha, Goddess of Moonlight. The two Sisters (sometimes referred to as “Sisters of Truth”) are commonly revered among scholars and wizards, who make it their life’s work to collect knowledge. Certain remote communities of elves worship the Sisters openly, but many are solitary creatures who prefer to worship in private or with very small groups.
