The battle of Bridge Gate was the first engagement in a war that lasted over 100 years. The Ex-Grand Master Apprentice Thallen Morgoroth many years before attempted a Coup for power over the Golden Strand. Believing that Wizard should rule all because they control the source he and his followers tried to take control of the Strand by Force. It is said this great Magical battle could be seen from 1000 miles away as the battled atop of the Wizards Citadel. With his final spell, Grand Master Aris Authamon destroyed Thallen and leveled the lands 600 miles around the tower. Or so he thought, Thallen returned hundreds of years later through the power of un-life given to him by the other. As a Lich he amassed a great Army of Vial and evil creatures that took over 100 years to destroy.
