Endymion Flint
Friar Endymion Flint
Born to a wealthy family, Endymion was sent to the Temple of St. Ursula at a young age to be raised and educated at the Monastery there. Initially resentful, he thrived in the regimented environment, and developed a deep faith in St. Ursula. Due to his small size, he initially had difficulties finding a role and fitting in, but his personal discipline and positive attitude was recognized by Brother Hazland Moor, Master of the order of Monks. Endymion excelled in his training, and became one of Brother Moor's best students. It became a common practice for Brother Moor to pair Endymion against new trainees many times his size, as Endymion's abilities allowed him to quickly humble them. When family obligations required Endymion to leave the monastery, Brother Moor saw this as an opportunity to allow Endymion to travel out into the world as a Friar to put his training to use serving St. Ursula.

Mental characteristics
Personal history
Youngest son (of 5 siblings) of the wealthy and established Flint family of Mavenshire. The family wealth comes from large timber holdings and several lumber mills. In addition to supplying nearly all commercial lumber for the area, the family has a large woodworking shop that manufactures commercial goods; primarily wagons and barrels. For several generations, the Flint family business has been the primary supplier of the barrels and wagons used to distribute the legendary Took Family Ales and Spirits. So close is the relationship between the Took and Flint families that two of Endymion's siblings have married into the Took clan.
At the age of 10, Endymion was sent to the Monastery of St. Ursula by his father out of gratitude for the miraculous healing of his oldest brother and heir to the family estate. While he was initially resentful towards his oldest brother, he grew and thrived under the rigorous training at the monastery and believes deeply in the message of St. Ursula. At this point he is grateful for his life's turn towards the monastery, as he avoided what he now regards as the lazy and decadent lifestyle of his older siblings. He tries to avoid his brothers, who are civil but invariably try to convince him to leave the Monastery and return home to help manage the family estates (especially Eustace, who feels that Stamford is lazy and not quite intelligent enough for the task). He rarely sees his sister Charity, who lives a good distance away with her husband and his family. He is greatly attached to his mother and sister Felicity, who tried hardest to convince Montague not to send Endymion away to the Monastery. Felicity is a strong-minded woman who has no interest in following her sister Charity's path to a boring family life. When given the opportunity, she has shown an aptitude for helping run the family business. On occasion, Eustace has asked for her help in fixing business problems created by their inept brother Stamford. When Endymion does visit home, Felicity always pushes him to share his stories of travel and adventure.
Sexuality
Fortunately, the clergy of St. Ursula are not bound by vows of chastity. Consensual relations between acolytes are tolerated as long as training is not affected, and it is not unknown for acolytes with strong relationships to serve together as clergy upon completion of their training.
Education
Given a good basic scholastic education as an acolyte of the Monastery supporting the Temple of St. Ursula, the training also included a rigorous program of physical fitness. For those acolytes like Endymion who did not show an ability to harness the Source directly, the physical training grew increasingly rigorous as it developed the acolytes ability to direct the Source by channeling it through their inner life force.
