Garthe "Smells" Helge
Garthe is one of a few beggars that plies his trade within theloving arms of the Caravan. Where the Caravan goes, Garthe goes. The beggars, like Smells, are not pariahs or even frowned upon. Rather, they are seen as honest purveyors of a simple premise. Help others by allowing them to help you. Smells and the other beggars believe this to a degree that borders on the spiritual.
Most of the beggars needs could probably be provided for by the Caravan, but Garthe prides himself on his lazy industriousness, and mostly provides for himself through the constant honing of his craft.
Each beggar has their own area of expertise, some are panhandlers, others offer to do simple chores, but Smells has hisown pungent strategy. He approaches a mark, and depending on the day, exudes an odor so repugnant and strong it makes the eyes water. People are in such a rush to move away from Smells, they eagerly fulfill his request for coin by throwing a handful at him as a decoy so they can escape the wafting terror.
There is no Underboss assigned to the beggars troupe. Rather, they police themselves and elect a temporary leader to take care of the issues and problems the beggars in the caravan need taken care of. This representative does meet with the other Underbosses but holds no official power. Currently, Garthe is the one who is responsible for seeing the beggar's needs met. Although, he is only allowed outside the Underbosses meeting tent, since he always has his unique perfume wafting from his person

Garthe In The Campaign
As a beggar Smells can sometimes be the target of those that feel superior to him for his simple occupation. The number of beggars in the troupe is kept to a low number to keep them from being a constant annoyance. Still, some can't abide those that ply this particular craft. The adventurers may need to step in if someone's behavior gets too vociferous with Smells or another one of the sanctioned members of the Caravan beggars troupe
