Galt the Mirror
Galt is the rarest of things, a doppelganger known for what he truly is. His nature is not hidden from the Caravan members and he serves a vital function as the shrewd cunning eyes of the Caravan. He jealously protects it from predators like himself.
He warns would be thieves and pickpockets to clear off, usually relieving them of their ill gotten gains to line his own pockets. His ability to look exactly like the individual he is chastising is usually enough to cow them and leave the Caravan for good. Criminals of an even greater threat are Galt's favorite, as he is given leave to deal with the most twisted miscreants in his own labyrinthine ways. One shudders at the thought of the final ends of these individuals most deserving of Galt's tender mercies.
When Galt is in his natural form his face appears almost featureless with two piercing eyes being the only distinct feature. He usually wears simple cloaks of decent quality. Dress that allows him to blend in with most parts of the Caravan.
No one seems to know how long Galt has been with the Caravan but his boss, Carmelia, claims its been about three years. While Galt performs services as a wolf watching over sheep, he also is expected to pull his weight by performing in Carmelia's Dark Circus.Carmelia's Dark Circus is a popular attraction in the Caravan that specializes in scary thrills and hidden mysteries. Galt apes the looks of anyone who pays the coin. His transformations shock and delight the crowd. It's a role he despises, regardless, his show is a big draw and Carmelia insists he continue.
Not everyone sees Galt's work outside the Circus as a vital function. Bree Dunnaford, the Caravan Manager is skeptical about Galt's reformation and the need for his extra services. She has brought her concerns to the Caravan Master, but she assures Bree that she is watching Galt carefully. He is restricted to Caravan grounds and is not given leave to enter the villages and towns the Caravan is visiting.
