Croaker

Croaker tries to help, he really does. But Croaker is easily distracted by shiny things. Especially when these things are not yet technically his. He’d give you the shirt off his back, he really would! He just can’t help taking your glittering necklace at the same time. If you’re missing something, see Croaker first.

Croaker literally expoded on the scene three years ago when he crash landed into one of the supply wagons, creating an enormous mushroon cloud of flour and scaring the wits out of most of the Caravan’s inhabitants. He’d left the last town he had called home under a shroud of suspicion. Apparently, many Inns seemed to have lost valuable and fine silverware kept stashed for special visitors and dignitaries. Croaker felt it was unfair that they searched his things before asking, and when they found most of the silverware, he was again shocked by the general consensusthat he was guilty of a crime. He was clearly only borrowing the cutlery, and besides, it had barely been used. “That’s the only crime here!”, he croaked. And then he fled.

Tired and starving, he finally crashed and has been a Caravan Scout ever since, much to Bree’s regret.

Croaker In The Campaign

Croaker is not a serious person. He get's into all sorts of trouble because he never thinks before he acts. However, he takes his role as one of the Caravan scouts very seriously

Croaker could bring news of trouble he has seen on his scouting missions. Whether it be something unsettling approaching the Caravan or he sees someone needing help that the Caravan provides

While Croaker holds no official capacity in the Caravan Guard, he is expected to report any interesting or troubling sights directly to a Sergeant of the Guard or Jonas. He might let the characters know what he has seen before he reports because he is a flibbertigibbet
