Heartbreak Hotel
Heartbreak hotel is a safehouse, meeting place, and vacation resort that caters exclusively to Elvismancers. The hotel exists in its own pocket universe that is only accessible through magical means, typically either through the Take A Walk Down Lonely Street ritual or a Tranport Via Velvet spell. The hotel's manager, Leo Mundy, greets each guest personally while talking ape bellhops in traditional red and gold uniforms see to the luggage.
Purpose / Function
The public purpose of the hotel is to provide a safe, welcoming environment for Elvismancers to relax between magical capers, but it has escaped exactly nobody's notice that Eris, Goddess of Discord, spends an awful lot of time there and is often seen meeting privately with Leo Munday. This has led to much wild speculation regarding what interest Eris--who once created an entire world because she wanted some cheese--could possibly have in Elvis and the Elvismancers.
Alterations
Even Elvismancers who spend a lot of time at Heartbreak Hotel routinely find whole new facilities that they never knew existed--usually right when they need them. This has led to a widespread belief that the hotel is able to change in order to anticipate the needs of its guests. In addition to ballrooms, concert halls, restaurants, and all of the other amenities common at luxury hotels, Heartbreak Hotel includes casinos, pools, a hedge maze, weapon shop, go-cart track, and on-site medical clinic.
Architecture
The appearance of the hotel's exterior varies according to the mental state of the arriving Elvismancer, but inside the floor plan is mostly stable and the decor is a lavish retro-modern style that somehow manages to capter the aesthetic of Graceland without the mansion's 1970s tackiness.
Tourism
The hotel is only open to Elvismancers, but they are allowed to bring a guest with them. Non-Elvismancers who visit the hotel usually forget most of the weird things they see there, remembering only an enjoyable but completely mundane hotel stay.
